Greenlight Level Upᵀᴹ Program Terms

The Greenlight Level Up™ program (the “Program”) is a financial literacy game for kids and teens with an engaging curriculum, educational challenges, and rewards including the ability to earn Greenlight Coins that can be accumulated and exchanged for other tangible rewards. Our goal is to keep kids and teens engaged so that they will continue to access Greenlight Level Up in order to improve their financial literacy skills. The Greenlight Level Up curriculum is based on the National Standards for Personal Financial Education developed by the Jump$tart Coalition and Council for Economic Education. All capitalized, undefined terms appearing in these Greenlight Level Up Program Terms (the “Level Up Terms”) shall have the meanings ascribed to such terms in the Greenlight Terms of Service (the “ToS”), which are available under the “Policy Center” link appearing in the footer of the Greenlight website at www.greenlight.com (the “Website”) and the settings page of the Greenlight application for a mobile phone, tablet or any other portable device (the “Application”).
1. Playing the Greenlight Level Up game
When playing the Greenlight Level Up game, players are guided through shorter, bite-sized challenges, that help to lock in their learning by employing the latest research in academic and game design. Each challenge generally contains short videos, mini-games, and a combination of multiple choice, true or false, or scenario questions that teach players about important personal financial topics such as budgeting, credit, interest, and/or investing which empower players with many of the money skills they will need for everyday life. We believe that the knowledge and skills gained by playing the Greenlight Level Up game will give players the confidence necessary to navigate the world of money in real life.
2. Scoring
Each challenge is worth a certain amount of Greenlight Coins, which are awarded based on the difficulty of the questions and the percentage of correct answers. Players receiving a score of less than 70% on a challenge will lose one life. Players can replay challenges as long as they have at least one life left in order to earn the remaining Greenlight Coins. However, note that the number of lives will be periodically reset back to seven. For example, on the effective date of these Level Up Terms, whenever you exhaust your available lives, you must wait for a period of six hours before the number of available lives resets to seven. This time limit is subject to change at any time; any new waiting period will be specified in the Greenlight Level Up game.
3. Introduction to Greenlight Coins Programs
The following terms form the basis of participation in the Greenlight Coins Program (“GCP”). Greenlight may offer two options for the GCP: (i) a Greenlight Coins Program for Primary Accountholders and Secondary Cardholders (collectively, the “Customer(s)”) and (ii) a Greenlight Coins Program for individuals who are not current Customers of Greenlight (“Prospect(s)”). The terms and conditions for each of these options are different and are as set forth below.
4. Greenlight Coins Program – Greenlight Customers
Greenlight may offer Customers the ability to participate in the “Greenlight Coins for Customers” rewards program in order to promote or encourage: (i) the use of financial literacy based educational resources provided by Greenlight; and/or (ii) the use of the Greenlight Services (generally) or specific product features; and/or (iii) increase Customer satisfaction through the receipt of rewards from Greenlight. In addition to the General Terms set forth in Section 6 below, each Customer’s participation in the Greenlight Coins for Customers reward program will be governed by the terms and conditions set forth in this Section 4, and each Greenlight Customer shall be responsible for reading and understanding all of such terms and conditions.
Only a Primary Accountholder may enroll in the Greenlight Coins for Customers reward program; provided, however, that any Secondary Cardholder associated with a given Primary Accountholder’s account may earn Greenlight Coins, redeem Greenlight Coins and/or receive rewards for performing various challenges as set forth in the Program (“Greenlight Rewards”). Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards associated with the Program are non-transferable, non-assignable, and have no cash value prior to redemption.
5. Greenlight Coins Program – Greenlight Prospects
Greenlight may offer Prospects the ability to participate in the “Greenlight Coins for Prospects” rewards program in order to promote or encourage: (i) the use of financial literacy based educational resources provided by Greenlight; and/or (ii) such Prospects to become Greenlight Customers. In addition to the General Terms set forth in Section 6 below, each Prospect’s participation in the Greenlight Coins for Prospects rewards program will be governed by the terms and conditions set forth in this Section 5, each Greenlight Prospect shall be responsible for reading and understanding such terms and conditions.
The value of the Greenlight Coins, amount of Greenlight Coins earned, the redemption offers for Greenlight Coins and/or the types of Greenlight Rewards offered under the Greenlight Coins for Prospects rewards program may not be the same as those offered to Customers participating in the Greenlight Coins for Customers rewards program. Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards (i) are not cash or a cash equivalent, (ii) have no cash value prior to redemption, and (iii) are not redeemable or exchangeable for any cash equivalent.
6. Greenlight Coins Program – General Terms
In addition to the terms and conditions set forth in Sections 4 and 5 above, the following terms and conditions will govern the participation in the Program by Customers and/or Prospects (collectively, the “Participant(s)”):
Any Participants without Eligible Activity (as defined below) during any twelve (12) consecutive month period may be removed from the Program and any (or all) of their accumulated Greenlight Coins are subject to forfeiture. For purposes of the Program, “Eligible Activity” means that a Customer takes any of the following actions as determined by Greenlight in its sole discretion: (i) use educational resources provided by Greenlight through the Application; (ii) engage in activities associated with the GCP through use of the Application; or (iii) use the Application to access and use the Greenlight Services (generally) or specific Level Up Program features. Failure to engage in Eligible Activity for a period of 12-consecutive months may result in the forfeiture of all accumulated Greenlight Coins and, after five years of inactivity, lead to deactivation of a Participant’s Level Up Program account. Once the Greenlight Coins have been forfeited, a Participant may not retrieve any forfeited Greenlight Coins but the affected Participant may begin to earn Greenlight Coins again thereafter.
You are responsible for verifying that you receive any Greenlight Coins that you believe that you have earned. Any discrepancies in your Greenlight Coins balance must be reported in writing to Greenlight within 90 days of the activity which caused the discrepancy. Greenlight is not responsible for receipt of incoming correspondence, so it is up to you to confirm that your Greenlight Coins balance is correct and any Greenlight Coins earned or redeemed have been properly credited to your Greenlight Coins account.
Current Greenlight Coins balance, Program account activity, Greenlight Coin and/or Greenlight Rewards redemption information, and Level Up Program information may be obtained on the Website, through the Application, or via Greenlight’s telephone number 1-888-483-2645.
Greenlight Coins associated with the Program are not the property of any Participant. Greenlight Coins may not be sold, attached, seized, levied upon, pledged, or transferred under any circumstances, including without limitation, by operation of law, upon death, or in connection with any domestic relations dispute and/or legal proceeding. Greenlight Coins associated with the Program are the sole property of Greenlight. The Greenlight Coins have no cash value and Greenlight will not compensate or pay cash for any forfeited, terminated, or unused Greenlight Coins associated with the Program. Greenlight may change the available rewards, redemption offerings and the redemption values for holders of Greenlight Coins, resulting in the relative value of a Greenlight Coin changing in Greenlight’s sole discretion.
The amount and terms for offering the Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards shall be determined in Greenlight’s sole discretion. The rewards, redemption offerings, and redemption values associated with the Program may be made available on the Website and/or the Application and such terms and conditions may be amended by Greenlight from time to time in its sole discretion. Any such amendments will be effective when published by Greenlight on the Website or in the Application.
The sale or barter, or attempt of any sale or barter, of Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards associated with the Program are prohibited. If Greenlight, in its sole discretion, determines you have violated these Level Up Terms, Greenlight may terminate or deduct your Greenlight Coins, Greenlight Rewards or any other rewards offered to you under any other Promotional Programs. Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards obtained through prohibited sale or barter transactions are VOID, invalid for redemption, and may be confiscated or canceled. Any persons trying to use such Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards will not be permitted to participate in the Level Up Program and may be prohibited from participating in any other Promotional Programs, in Greenlight’s sole discretion. All interpretations of the Level Up Terms shall be at the sole discretion of Greenlight. Greenlight reserves the right to audit your Greenlight Coins associated with the Program at any time and without notice to ensure compliance with (i) these Level Up Terms, (ii) any terms and conditions described elsewhere throughout the Website and the Application, and (iii) all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. In the event Greenlight reveals discrepancies or violations, Greenlight may delay the processing of your Greenlight Coins transactions or any other redemptions until the discrepancies or violations are resolved. If Greenlight determines that a Participant has violated these Level Up Terms, then any Greenlight Coins are subject to forfeiture and Participant’s Level Up Program account is subject to closure. During an investigation, Greenlight may prohibit you from participating in Promotional Programs without notice. Terminated Greenlight Coins will be confiscated by Greenlight and must be surrendered to Greenlight upon Greenlight’s request. Termination of your participation in the Program will result in a loss of all accumulated Greenlight Coins. If terminated, Greenlight may decide to terminate all of your other Promotional Program rewards or benefits and may close your Greenlight Account and your Prepaid Account. If your Greenlight Account and Prepaid Account are terminated, you are not eligible to participate in any Promotional Programs. In lieu of termination, Greenlight may at its sole discretion deduct or remove Greenlight Coins from your GCP account, but permit you to continue participating in Promotional Programs.
Greenlight reserves the right to suspend or discontinue Greenlight Coins or the GCP, for any Participant who appears to be using the Greenlight Coins Program in a manner inconsistent with (a) these Level Up Terms; (b) any terms and conditions described elsewhere throughout the Website and the Application; (c) all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations; and (d) the intent of the Greenlight Coins Program, including, but not limited to, redemption of the Greenlight Coins. Greenlight also reserves the right to prohibit participation in any of the Promotional Programs for any Participant who Greenlight believes, or has reasonable grounds for suspecting, in its sole discretion, has: (i) acted in a manner inconsistent with applicable local or federal laws, regulations or ordinances; (ii) breached or violated any of these Level Up Terms; (iii) engaged in any fraudulent or dishonest behavior, theft, misconduct or wrongdoing in connection with the GCP, including without limitation, involving Greenlight Coin and/or Greenlight Rewards redemptions or other Promotional Programs, rewards or benefits; (iv) engaged in any abusive, fraudulent, disruptive, inappropriate, offensive or hostile conduct, whether it be physical, verbal or written in nature, towards Greenlight or any of its employees or contractors; or (v) failed to pay any amounts that you owe to Greenlight.
Such suspended or discontinued participation in the GCP will result in the loss of all accumulated Greenlight Coins and the cancellation of any redemption rights, benefits and privileges. In addition to suspension or discontinuance of participation in the GCP, Greenlight shall have the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, including, without limitation, criminal prosecution or civil proceedings, as it deems necessary in its sole discretion.
Greenlight reserves the right to add, modify, delete, or otherwise change any of the rules, procedures, conditions, benefits, or rewards pertaining to the Program, Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards associated with the Program, and these Level Up Terms at any time at its sole discretion, without notice, even though changes may affect the value of Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards already accumulated. Greenlight may also limit the Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards you may be eligible to receive in connection with the Program. Such changes to the Program may include modifications as to the types of awards offered, the time or obligations required to earn a Greenlight Coin and/or Greenlight Rewards, the value of Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards, any award partner affiliations, the rules for earning Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards, the rules for redeeming Greenlight Coins, and any rules and procedures for the use of Greenlight Coins, and the continued availability of Greenlight Coins. Any other features or special offers, if any, are determined at the sole discretion of Greenlight. Greenlight has the right to terminate the Program at any time and for any reason upon not less than seven (7) days’ prior notice. Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards earned prior to any modification or termination of the Program will be honored by Greenlight so long as they are redeemed prior to expiration. The specific benefits in effect at any time will be those posted and described within the Website or Application at the time of your activity.
Unless otherwise stated, the current ToS and the Level Up Terms in effect at the time of your redemption or use of the Greenlight Coins for a benefit or other transaction will govern that transaction.
You shall use the Greenlight Coins and Greenlight Rewards strictly in accordance with these Level Up Terms, the terms and conditions described elsewhere throughout the Website and the Application, and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws. You will not use the Program for any use other than the promotional and informational purposes for which it was intended.
The awarding of Greenlight Coins and certain Greenlight Rewards might not be legal in certain state or local jurisdiction. Consequently, the GCP and any Greenlight Rewards and/or accrued Greenlight Coins are void where prohibited by law.
Greenlight Coins and/or Greenlight Rewards (i) are not cash or a cash equivalent, (ii) have no cash value prior to redemption, and (iii) are not redeemable or exchangeable for any cash equivalent.
