Water balloon games to make a splash

• Water balloon toss: Pair up and see how long you can toss a water balloon back and forth without it breaking.

• Duck, duck, splash: Play a game of duck, duck, goose but with a twist. The person who's "it" carries a water balloon and tosses it to the person they choose as the "goose." This one requires a light hand and light balloons. 

• Water balloon relay race: Set up a relay race where each participant has to carry a water balloon on a spoon from one point to another.

• Hot potato with a twist: In this game, players pass around a water balloon while music plays. When the music stops, the player holding the balloon must pop it over their head.

• Balloon piñata: Fill several water balloons and hang them from a tree or a sturdy structure at different heights. Kids can take turns being blindfolded and trying to burst them with a stick. Adult supervision is definitely required!

• Target splash: Create targets on the ground using sidewalk chalk or tape. Kids take turns throwing water balloons to hit the targets, scoring points for accuracy.

• Fill the bucket: Teams compete to see who can fill a bucket faster using only water balloons. Each team is given a pile of filled balloons and must run back and forth to burst them over their bucket.

• Balloon race: Set up a course with obstacles. Participants must carry a water balloon between their knees and navigate the course without dropping or popping their balloon. The first to cross the finish line with their balloon intact wins.
