Safe Family Warranty Policy

Each Safe Family Device is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the date the Safe Family Device is shipped (“Limited Warranty”). Greenlight will, at its sole option and cost, repair or replace any components that are defective, including all shipping costs. This Limited Warranty does not apply to: (i) physical damage caused by mishandling, accidents, or improper use; (ii) normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, nicks; (iii) water damage where the device is submerged or exposed to water beyond its specified resistance level; (iv) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (v) damage caused by repairs, alterations or modifications performed by unauthorised personnel; (vi) failure to follow the product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance; (vii) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes or (viii) devices outside the Limited Warranty. Safe Family Devices are not intended to be used for any purpose requiring precise measurement of direction, distance, location or topography. Greenlight makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of map data.

If during the warranty period you submit a claim for warranty service in accordance with this Limited Warranty, then Greenlight will, at its sole option: (i) repair the device using new parts or previously used parts, or (ii) replace the device with a new device or a refurbished device. SUCH REMEDY SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY. Repaired or replaced devices will have a 90-day warranty, or to the end of the original Limited Warranty, whichever is longer.

Claims process: To obtain remedies under this Limited Warranty, Greenlight must receive your claim with all of the information listed below, before the end of the applicable Limited Warranty period. To open your Limited Warranty Claim, please email support@greenlight.me and provide the following information: 

  • Proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or invoice) and/or Order #

  • Serial number of the Safe Family Device (located on the back)

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Photos (optional)

  • Current shipping address

Our support team will assess your claim and guide you on the next steps, such as repair or replacement. If the claim is justified based on this Limited Warranty, Greenlight  will provide instructions for shipping the device back to us, and Greenlight shall bear all costs of shipping.  By sending the Safe Family Device to Greenlight, you agree to transfer ownership to Greenlight.  Any product returned to Greenlight without a valid warranty claim may be rejected, returned at sender’s cost (subject to prepayment) or disposed of in Greenlight’s sole discretion. 

Your Legal Rights

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state and jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

If any part of this Limited Warranty is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Limited Warranty shall nonetheless remain in full force and effect.

This Limited Warranty is the only express warranty made to you and is provided in lieu of any other express warranties or similar obligations (if any) created by any advertising, documentation, packaging, or other communications.

Except for the express Limited Warranty described herein and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Greenlight and its suppliers provide the Safe Family Device “AS IS AND WITH ALL FAULTS”, and hereby disclaim all other warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties, duties or conditions of: merchantability, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, system integration, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability or availability, accuracy or completeness of responses, results, workmanlike effort, lack of viruses, and reasonable care and skill, all with regard to the Safe Family Device, and the provision of or failure to provide support or other services, information, software, and related content through the Safe Family Device or otherwise arising out of the use of the Safe Family Device. This exclusion does not apply to (i) any implied condition as to title and (ii) any implied warranty as to conformity with description. If applicable law requires any implied warranties with respect to the Safe Family Device, all such warranties are limited in duration to ninety (90) days. Some states and/or jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above may not apply to you.

Greenlight extends this Limited Warranty only to the customer who originally purchased the product ("you"). It does not extend to any subsequent owner and cannot be transferred to any other person.

Greenlight reserves the right to refuse any Limited Warranty request that does not comply with these terms. Please note that Greenlight reserves the right to change the availability of this Limited Warranty, any and all terms, conditions, policies and/or procedures at any time without prior notice change, but any such changes will not be retroactive.
