Parent hacks: Make life easier one tip at a time

It can be done! From faster meal prep to better organization, try these tips to save time and stress so you can focus on the big stuff, like spending quality time with your kids.

Put kids in charge of the assembly line

Whether it’s the morning rush or weeknight dinners, time is one thing we could all use more of. This meal prep hack saves time and cuts down on stress. Once a week, take an hour or two to prepare your meals for the entire week. Chop up vegetables, cook proteins in bulk, and portion out snacks. Throughout the week, all you have to do is grab and go. No more scrambling to figure out what's for dinner!

Pro tip: Store pre-made food in labeled bins in the fridge or pantry. Then, put your kids in charge of making their own lunches by choosing one thing from each.

Never lose a sock again

Seriously, where do they all go? Try this simple hack: Put pairs of dirty socks into a mesh laundry bag before loading them into the washing machine. The socks stay happily together and you don’t have to sort them afterward. Then toss the bag in the dryer, and you're good to go.

Master toy organization

With kids, toys seem to multiply overnight. Designate a specific spot for each type of toy and clearly label it with a picture or word so kids can easily clean up themselves. Giving everything a labeled home makes it easier for kids to put things away and keeps the floor clear and toys easy to find again. Bonus: Cleanup’s a breeze, and you’re also teaching kids the value of a tidy space.

Make a "one-stop" diaper-changing station

Changing diapers on the go can be… messy. But with this hack, you'll have all your diaper-changing essentials in one convenient spot. Use a small plastic tote or caddy to store diapers, wipes, and diaper cream. Keep it in your car for easy access when you're out and about — no more digging through the diaper bag abyss.

Pro tip: Do this for plane rides, too! Toss a gallon-size Ziploc with diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes into your carry-on. Then just grab and go.

We hope these parent hacks make your life a little easier. When you don’t have to sweat the small stuff, you have more time to embrace the journey with your kids.
